Feedback from the Oct. 21 Congressional Forum sponsored by the Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce, The Hub (Young Professionals of the Hudson Valley), The Poughkeepsie Journal and the Bardavon: "The Congressional Forum on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 was a rare opportunity to see and hear the candidates for three congressional districts. I'm in the 19th Congressional District and was motivated to attend for that race. The forum was well produced, beginning and ending on time, and the candidates were well informed as to their time limits. I also enjoyed the opportunity to hear from the other area representatives serving New York and their opponents. I have come to expect innovation and style from this chamber. This event was no different. Thanks, from another satisfied customer."
"Ann, I thought the debate went well. You didn't let any of the people go over there allotted time, the questions were fair, and there didn't seem to be any bias. The audience seemed to get something out of the answers, and a feeling for who these candidates really are. I have my thoughts on who did better than who, but that may be biased. It was nice to see a slight hint of humor in there on occasion. The wrap up went well. Sandy Treadwell gave us our last bit of humor for the night on deciding to stand or sit, but over all I think it was well. You and your staff deserve kudos for a job well done."

It was so good to hear the candidates speak to the various issues (even though they didn't always answer the question!) in person. I brought my 23-year-old son with me and he felt that he gained a great deal from the event - good to get these young people involved!
