In 2002, with the guidance and determination of many committed leaders in our community, the Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce established The Chamber Foundation, Inc. (a separate not-for-profit organization) to promote education and training programs for area youth and professionals with the goal of enhancing the future of economic growth in our mid-Hudson region.
The Foundation's mission is simple: to provide opportunities for youth and the workforce, to build personal and business capacity, develop leadership skills and foster commitment to community service.
This mission was developed with the belief that offering programs that maximize one's leadership abilities in order to serve in leadership roles in our community is vital to our region's success and continued development. It is through strong partnerships with both business and education that we are able to build strong communities of tomorrow.
The Chamber Foundation, Inc.'s programs are plenty and each has been customized to provide participants with the theories, skills and experiences to develop personal leadership strengths and work toward creating a strategic vision to maximize their full potential. In addition to offering our many programs, The Chamber Foundation, Inc. has the pleasure of awarding yearly scholarship opportunities to students in our local school districts.
But we realize we cannot do this alone. We rely on the support of individuals, businesses, corporations and foundations to expand and improve our programs that create positive, lasting change for the greater Southern Dutchess region.
There are a number of ways you and/or your organization can become involved with the good works of The Chamber Foundation, Inc. For more information, to learn about sponsorship opportunities or to donate to The Chamber Foundation, Inc., please feel free to contact us at 845.296.0001. |
